kincare products play a big role in maintaining healthy and younger-looking skin. But all beauty has to start from the inside. We have three tips you can try to incorporate in your daily routine that will also help in achieving healtier and better skin.
- Changes in Diet
Everyone indulges in sugar and salty snacks throughout the week, but limiting the trips to the vending machine or fast food kiosk can play a big role in clearer and healthier skin. Replace unhealthy snacks with walnuts, sweet potatoes, or sunflower seeds instead and pack Omega-3 packed fish (salmon or mackeral are good choices) and avocados for lunches. And most importantly, stay hydrated! Replacing sugary sodas, juices, and coffee with water or tea will make a huge difference.
- Exercise
Sitting at a desk or couch all day will cause your blood flow and circulation to slow down. This can cause uneven skin tone, dullness and even bloating. To increase blood flow, you should regularly workout, even if it’s a brisk walk for 30 minutes a day. Sweating will also release toxins and open up your pores, restoring a healthy glow and color to your skin. After a workout, exfoliate your skin so you get all the cellular debris out and follow up with a cold shower to close your pores.
- Rinse with Water Only
Facial cleansers come in many forms meant for different skin types: Oils, foams, creams. While cleansers are key to remove makeup and pollutants at the end of a long day, your skin may not appreciate the same care in the morning. Your skin is already clean from the night before, and unless you went out after your night-time routine, you’ll only be stripping oils and the previous nights’ creams and lotions from your face, which may actually dehydrate your skin. When you wake up, just rinse your face with lukewarm water, enough to wake yourself up and start theday, and apply your morning skin care products on clean skin.
